• The St Andrew Parish Church

Tour a historical Church that has some of the oldest and beautiful monuments and memorials of any Church in Jamaica. Stained glass windows, installed after 1879, are an important part of the memorials of the church. The present organ, the fourth in the church’s history, was installed in 1978.The cemetery is one of the oldest in continuous use in the island and many prominent persons associated with the history of the Church are interred within its boundaries.

                                                              NB: Church is not always available; an alternative site will be substituted.

• Devon House

Explore the mansion built by one of the country’s first black millionaire. You will soon learn of the link between these two heritage sites. At the end of this tour you are invited to have a Devon House ice cream, one of the best!!!, before returning to your hotel.

Midway our journey, we make a stop for lunch which was cooked on the river bank. Having been refreshed, we complete the journey, our driver & bus who we left in the hills is awaiting your arrival at St Margaret’s Bay. 

We are now back in the bus on our way home.

• Worthy Park Estate – Here we will see & hear about the production of rum & its bye products. You may wish to purchase some to take to take home with you.
• Spanish Town-Emancipation Square & Rodney’s Memorial – here you will hear a little about Jamaica under Spanish rule and the abolition of slavery.

• The Blue Mountains to tour the Craighton Coffee Estate and Great House. The narrow road is winding as we climb the mountains, but the scenery is not to be missed. At Craighton we will tour the coffee plantation and hear all about the history, cultivation and processing of coffee, before enjoying a freshly brewed cup. We leave the mountains and return to the city.
• The Hope Botanical Gardens, here we do a heritage tour of the gardens & the Chinese Garden.

• Bob’s home in Trench Town (Culture Yard), where he spent his childhood days, then it’s off to 
• The Bob Marley Museum where you will hear the story of Bob’s adult life as you tour his house and grounds, then spend a few minutes watching a video presentation of some of his concerts. Browse around the gift shop before leaving.

• The Holy Trinity Cathedral (Roman Catholic) or another historical Church – hear how the churches assisted in the development of the country, while enjoying some beautiful pieces of art that is displayed at these heritage sites
•  The Institute of Jamaica & Music Museum – to delve into a little of Jamaica’s history
• Port Royal – To tour Fort Charles & hear about the exploits of the buccaneers.

• The campus of the University of the West Indies (once the site of 2 sugar plantations) 
• The Hope Botanical Garden (we will do 2 tours here, The Chinese Garden & The Heritage Tour of the Garden).
• Then Lunch at a restaurant in the botanical garden (optional)
